Backward Society Education (BASE) is a membership based organization located in Tulsipur Dang. It has been working in Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Surkhet, Salyan and Rukum Distircts of Mid and Far- West Nepal. BASE has its own district offices in each working districts. Members of BASE have been working as volunteers since its establishment. BASE offers infinite opportunities and challenges to employees and volunteers alike. BASE was established in 1985 with a specific vision to educate Tharus, indigenous, marginalized and back warded people with the slogan "Education First" to uplift the livelihood of the targeted people as well as to eradicate all forms of child labor and ensure education for all children. Staff and volunteers have both dedicated their time and energy to achieve the vision, Mission and Goal of the organization. With your contribution of experience and passion, we can bring this common vision to culmination.

Children often become child laborers because their parents cannot afford school fees, books, and uniforms. Your donation will keep children out of illegal labor and send them to school, where they can learn how to raise themselves and their families up out of poverty. Education is vital for the children's futures, and you are helping to make those futures much brighter!

Volunteer Your Time
As BASE is a membership based organization, many people including the members of the organization have been working as volunteers. If you are willing to devote your time as a volunteer to uplift the livelihood of indigenous, Tharus, Dalit, Janjati, marginalized, deprived people, as well as eradicate child labor you are must welcome to the organization.
Raise Your Voice
BASE has been advancing forward with a vision "Creation of exploitation free society" Where different activities for the betterment of child labor, Tharus, indigenous, marginalized, and back warded people are being implemented. BASE has been working in the filed of Ex- Kamaiya, children, youths, women, human Rights, disaster and exploited people. As child labor is the burning issue, we are rescuing children from their works and enrolling them to school. Everybody can help make a difference, every day, with small choices that have big impacts. Here’s our list of ways you can drop a pebble and make a splash, through your activism:
1. Don’t employ children as domestic labourers
2. Don’t buy products which have been made by child labourers
3. If you know someone, who employs children, report about them to the authorities
4. Run a small campaign against exploitation of children, if you are ambitious, join us.
